Description

Valentine’s Strawberry Shortcake Cups are the perfect no-bake dessert for romantic celebrations. Made with layers of pound cake, whipped cream, and juicy strawberries, these easy strawberry shortcake parfaits are sweet, simple, and visually stunning. Ideal for Valentine’s Day or summer treats!


Ingredients

2 cups sliced strawberries

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

2 cups cubed pound cake or sponge cake

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons sugar (for whipped cream)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pinch salt


Instructions

1. Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries. Mix them with 2 tablespoons of sugar and lemon juice (if using). Let sit for 15–30 minutes.

2. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream with 2 tablespoons sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt until soft peaks form.

3. Cut the pound cake into 1-inch cubes.

4. In clear cups, layer cake cubes, macerated strawberries with juice, and whipped cream. Repeat for 2–3 layers.

5. Top with a final swirl of whipped cream and a strawberry slice.

6. Chill the assembled cups for at least 30 minutes before serving.

7. Serve cold and enjoy your romantic, fruity dessert!

Notes

Use fresh strawberries for the juiciest flavor.

You can swap pound cake with angel food cake or sponge cake.
