Ingredients
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
2 medium apples, peeled cored and diced
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 egg
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice to a skillet over medium heat. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until the apples are tender, then let the mixture cool.
3. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
4. Lightly roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 4 equal rectangles to make 8 danishes total.
