Ingredients
12 ounces egg noodles
3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
2 cans cream of chicken soup, 10.5 ounces each
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
2 cups frozen peas and carrots
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon butter for greasing the dish
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the egg noodles until just tender, then drain well.
3. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
4. Fold in the cooked chicken and frozen peas and carrots until everything is evenly coated.
5. Add the cooked noodles and gently stir until the mixture is fully combined.
6. Spread the casserole mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted.
9. Let the casserole rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for a faster prep and extra flavor.
Cook the noodles just to al dente so they do not turn too soft while baking.
