Description

Peanut Butter Layered Delight is a creamy no bake dessert made with chocolate cookie crust, fluffy peanut butter filling, chocolate pudding, and whipped topping for an easy layered treat that is perfect for potlucks, holidays, and family gatherings.

Ingredients

24 chocolate sandwich cookies

5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups whipped topping, plus 1 1/2 cups for topping

1 package instant chocolate pudding mix, 3.9 ounces

2 cups cold milk

2 tablespoons chopped peanuts

2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips or crushed peanut butter cups

Instructions

1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs and mix them with the melted butter until evenly combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish and chill for 10 to 15 minutes.

2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, then mix until creamy.

3. Fold 1 1/2 cups whipped topping into the peanut butter mixture until light and fluffy.

4. Spread the peanut butter layer evenly over the chilled crust, smoothing it all the way to the edges.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until it begins to thicken.

6. Spread the pudding over the peanut butter layer in an even layer.

7. Top with the remaining whipped topping and smooth the surface.

8. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and mini chocolate chips or crushed peanut butter cups.

9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before slicing and serving.

Notes

This dessert slices best after a full overnight chill, so it is a great make ahead option.

Use regular creamy peanut butter for the smoothest filling and the most reliable texture.

For extra texture and flavor, garnish with chopped peanut butter cups just before serving.
