Description

Cozy up this season with Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Christmas Cookies. These soft, chewy holiday cookies are made with festive sprinkles, melty chocolate, and a hint of cinnamon. A must-bake Christmas dessert perfect for cookie exchanges and gift boxes.


Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar

0.5 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2.5 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

0.5 teaspoon salt

0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

0.5 cup chopped milk chocolate

0.5 cup holiday sprinkles


Instructions

1. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.

5. Fold in chocolate chips, chopped chocolate, and half the holiday sprinkles.

6. Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets and top with extra sprinkles and chocolate.

7. Bake at 350°F for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden.

8. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for easier creaming.

Do not overbake to keep the centers soft and chewy.

Add a few crushed candy canes on top for extra holiday sparkle.
